America Square EC3 is situated close to the Minories EC3 and Tower Hill EC3. This charming area was built between 1768-1774 and designed by George Dance the Younger. America Square is within close proximity of many landmarks within the City of London most notably the Tower of London.
America Square is situated near Trinity Square and Trinity Square Gardens EC3. Trinity Square, former home of the Port of London Authority. The extravagant Edwardian buildings here were built between 1912-1922 to designs created by Sir Edwin Cooper. Over 125 people were beheaded in Trinity Square in the past and there is a stone memorial marking this here. The elegant Trinity House is located close by, on Tower Hill. This Georgian building, designed by Samuel Wyatt in 1796, offers excellent views of Trinity Square and the Tower of London. Trinity House is home to the Lighthouse Service of Britain and Wales and is decorated with a maritime theme. Completely refurbished in 1990, Trinity House boasts a grand entrance hall with a painted ceiling. There are also paintings, maritime artwork and a huge ships bell on display at this venue, which is available for events and conferences.
America House is located at 2 America Square EC3. This vast office building is home to a number of financial and insurance companies. There are a number of places to eat and drink on and around America Square including the Hogshead public house, located at 1 America Square. This chain pub offers a variety of real ales and traditional British food. Chez Gerard, located at 14 Trinity Square, provides fine French cuisine in luxurious surroundings, close to the Tower of London.
America Square is next to one of the sites of the London Metropolitan University, positioned at the junction of the Minories and Tower Hill. Another London Metropolitan University campus is located further north along the Minories, close to Vine Street EC3 and Aldgate High Street EC3. Other places of interest close to America Square include Custom House and Old Billingsgate Market, both situated on Lower Thames Street EC3, along the River Thames. The London Underwriting Centre, headquarters of a number of insurance companies, is located 400m from America Square, at 3 Minster Court, Mincing Lane EC3.

Fenchurch Street station is just 150m from Tower Hill Underground Station, which is served by the Circle and District line, as well as the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) The Tower Gateway DLR station is 50m from America Square and provides a fast method for travellers to reach various destinations across London, including Greenwich, London City Airport and Stratford. The Tower Millennium Pier is 100m from America Square on the River Thames. Passengers can catch Thames Clipper river boat shuttle services from here, to a number of stops along the Thames.

The Tower Hotel is a 5 minute walk down the Minories to the south of America Square.
