About the Andaz

(formerly the Great Eastern Hotel)
Moments away from Liverpool Street Station (one of London's most well-connected rail and Tube stations), The Andaz Hotel is perhaps the most convenient of City hotels with an assortment of pubs, nightspots and virtually every type of restaurant imaginable at hand. A short walk away is the newly renovated Spitalfields Market, featuring several vendors selling everything from antiques and vintage vinyl to cutting edge fashion, handicrafts and new art. The market is also home to a number of restaurants with even more surrounding the market.

Whether interested in a traditional English breakfast (try the S&M Café) or "global burgers" giraffe, you'll be sure to find a suitable dining option. A bit farther, but still easily accessed on foot, are Brick Lane (world renown for its curry houses and for being East London's cultural heart) and the hip 'n' happening areas of Hoxton, Shoreditch and Old Street. However, Andaz guests don't have to venture out to taste the best of London's culinary delights or experience a bit of it nightlife. With its own pub, a handful of world class restaurants and bars (including sushi and a champagne bar) and, of course, twenty-four hour room service, Andaz brings the best to you.

Of course, should business be the reason for your stay at Andaz, keep in mind that the vast majority of firms and businesses in London's financial district are well within walking distance too. Also notable is the long list of business-oriented services that Andaz provides its guests: Computer workstation with Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and broadband, photocopying, fax machines, shredders, secretarial services, courier services within the UK and abroad, stationary supplies, as well as specialist presentation equipment available for hire.

Andaz's building dates to 1884 but the interior is completely renovated inside, presenting the opportunity to enjoy London's fascinating history while indulging in the finest of modern amenities. The hotel's air conditioned rooms feature the best in contemporary design, such as ergonomic workstations with Eames chairs, large LCD televisions and iPod docking stations.

Floor-to-ceiling brick tiled bathrooms offer guests the opportunity to relax in eco-frienldy fast-fill baths with hot towel rails.

Added touches to make your stay that much more luxurious include stunning views of London's skyline, plush robes and slippers.

Included in Andaz room rates are WiFi, local calls and even a healthy mini-bar. Valet parking can be arranged for guests as well.

Taste fresh foods prepared with natural, organic ingredients. Sip on succulent wines or creative concoctions mixed from the finest. With the number and quality of restaurants, lounges, and bars here at ANdAZ, you will have plenty of choices to please your palate.
Our newly refurbished Health club has been applauded for its non-traditional approach. Set around classic architecture (a former Egyptian Temple) the main gymnasium features "Life fitness" equipment (some unique to ANdAZ), Olympic lifting platform, kettle bells, stretch mats and one-on-one personal training. Three treatment rooms are set off the main gym and offer a wide variety of specialist and traditional therapies, we have given a sample of the more popular choices below. Towards the entrance are changing suites and a communal steam room. Our 5k City runs are another break from tradition, popular among business guests keen to combine exercise with a sightseeing tour, and our onsite Osteopath is again a unique ANdAZ offering.
You can't change the world in a day - but, it's the little things that make the difference. Our bathrooms use 80% less water, our restaurants rely on locally sourced produce and where energy is concerned, so are we.
Included in your ANdAZ room rates are wifi, local calls.
