Heathrow Airport is located approximately 20 miles from the London EC2 area, which can be reached in a number of ways from the airport, including via car, coach and National Rail services. The non stop Heathrow Express rail service is the quickest way of getting into the City from Heathrow Airport, with a journey time of 15 minutes from Terminals 1,2 and 3 (23 minutes from Terminal 4). The Heathrow Express travels into London's Paddington Station, which provides tube services across 4 lines, including the Hammersmith & City line, which stops at both Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations, in the EC2 area. The Heathrow Connect service also stops at Paddington Station, as well as other stations including Ealing Broadway and Southall.

All Terminals at Heathrow Airport are served by the London Underground network, in Travelcard zone 6. Travellers to the EC2 area can take Piccadilly line services from Heathrow Airport to Holborn Underground Station and from here change to the Central line for St Paul's Underground Station, just two stops away in the heart of London EC2. The N9 night bus service runs daily from Heathrow Airport to Aldwych WC2, from where passengers can catch the N11 service to Bank, Liverpool Street or St Paul's. The number 285 Railair bus service links Heathrow Airport to Feltham Railway Station, which operates regular train services into Waterloo Station, from where travellers can reach the EC2 area via the London Underground Network.

Heathrow Airport is also served by a large number of coach companies, carrying passengers to over 500 destinations across the UK, including central London. The National Express coach company run services to Victoria Coach Station, located 400m from Victoria Underground Station, which provides Circle line trains to Liverpool Street and Moorgate, located in the financial district of the City of London. Coach tickets can be pre booked online or purchased from the ticket offices situated in the Central Bus Station at Heathrow Airport, from where most coach services depart.

Heathrow Airport has links to the M2 and M25 motorways, for those wishing to travel to and from the airport by car. The London EC2 area can be reached in approximately 1 hour from Heathrow Airport depending on traffic. Short and long stay car parking is available at Heathrow, which has designated free parking spaces for motorcycles. Taxis can be caught from all Terminals at Heathrow Airport and are regulated to ensure there are enough to meet demands. A typical taxi journey from Heathrow Airport into the EC2 area will cost around 50 pounds.
