Gloucester Road is a major road in Kensington London which runs from Hyde Park southwards towards Fulham. At it's half way point it crosses the arterial A4, Cromwell Road, which is the main west London access to the M25 motorway at Heathrow Airport. Gloucester Road is loosely referred to as an area also and when people speak of "Gloucester Road" they are usually speaking about the part which surrounds Gloucester Road Underground Station near the Cromwell Road intersection in London postcode SW7. To the east of Gloucester Road is Knightsbridge and to the west is Earls Court.Gloucester Road is an accepted up market tourist area with many hotels ranging from budget to 5 star boutique. Prices tend to be lower than in the West End and many seasoned tourists prefer this area due to it not being too mass tourist orientated in comparison to the West End.
