Victoria is located in south central London and is a contrasting area of downmarket and upmarket properties and areas.

There are many hotels near to Victoria London. Many are low to mid budget aimed at the train or coach traveller departing or arriving at the Victoria Station. Towards the north of the area approaching Buckingham Palace are a few top 3 and 4 star hotels. Best known for Victoria Station which is a major rail, underground and bus travel hub with a direct express train link to London Gatwick Airport and Brighton.

The London Underground station serves the Victoria Line and the District and Circle Lines into central London.

There are very few attractions apart from two ships permanently moored by Victoria Embankment which are HMS President and HQS Wellington.

Other attractions include Cleopatra's Needle.

From this area of central London it is very easy to walk to Buckingham Palace and also Knightsbridge and Sloane Square.

The upmarket area of Chelsea lies just to the west of Victoria and this is the home of the Chelsea Flower Show.

If you are arriving at Gatwick Airport then the area of Victoria is very convenient.

Taxis
The taxi rank is just outside the main entrance to the station; a second taxi rank is available upstairs at the Plaza exit in Victoria Place. Many taxis are wheelchair accessible.

Buses
There is a bus station outside the main entrance for Victoria station.

Victoria Coach station is in Buckingham Palace Road – turn left out of the main station entrance, then left again on to Buckingham Palace Road.
