Comment about hotels in the Bayswater London
Bayswater is located within the City of Westminster, in central London and is one of London's most cosmopolitan and heavily settled areas, with the significant diversity of the local population added to by having one of London's biggest concentration of tourist class hotels. Bayswater is immediately north of Hyde Park anD immediately west of Oxford Street so the location is very good for tourists. Queensway and Westbourne Grove are busy High Streets, with a very large number of ethnic restaurants.
The nearest districts to Bayswater are Paddington, Notting Hill and Kilburn and the nearest tube stations are Bayswater tube station, Queensway tube station and Paddington station which is also the terminus for the Heathrow Express.
QUESTION: Why should I choose a the Bayswater hotel?
In our opinion, Bayswater as an area, is of a lower standard than say Kensington and offers hundreds of quite basic budget and tourist class hotels to choose from. Prices are lower than other central London areas due to the huge number of small hotels competing for business, often next door to each other. A proportion of these hotels are attracting bad reputations so check them out carefully first. Some "hoteliers" are more interested in the property as an investment rather than as a hotel business so ask when the hotel was last refurbished and if the pictures are up to date.
If this area is not for you then look at Kensington to the south-west of the Bayswater for alternative London hotels.

The 100% refit resulted in a contemporary new 160 bedroom hotel. We prefer to classify this hotel as a good 3 star as there is no air conditioning in the compact bedrooms. On that basis its good value.

HYDE PARK TOWERS HOTEL, Bayswater, London 
 The Hyde Park Towers is an elegant early Victorian building situated in a quiet leafy terrace in Bayswater and just a few streets away from Queensway with its late night shopping, colourful cafes and English pubs. The hotel's central location makes it an ideal base for shopping in nearby Oxford Street or Knightsbridge. LONDON GUARDS HOTEL, Bayswater, London
 The London Guards Hotel is a good tourist class standard and is just one minute walk from Hyde Park. This small hotel offers some rooms capable of accommodating families. All bedrooms have a private bathroom. The area is good for tourists being only a few minutes walk from Oxford Street. Unusual for this area, the situation of the London Guards is fairly quiet being located at the bottom of a small no through road. Bayswater, Queensgate and Lancaster Gate underground stations are all near by.

We have known the London Guards since it opened and in general clients are happy with the facilities and cleanliness of the place. Interesting that most bedrooms have a fridge which can be quite convenient.

WHITELEAF HOTEL, Bayswater, London 
 The Whiteleaf Hotel is located close to Hyde Park and Notting Hill. This hotel is budget class hotel for the price conscious traveller but has the advantage of a superb location where you can walk to many tourist locations including Oxford Street, Kensington and the Royal Albert Hall . Portobello Market is close by as is the Heathrow Express Terminal at Paddington Station which takes you direct to the airport terminals in 15 minutes. All bedrooms at the Whiteleaf hotel have a private bathroom and continental breakfast is included in the rate.

If you are looking for a cheap hotel deal in London then the Whiteleaf may suit you. Client comments are varied perhaps because this hotel's facilities are oversold in terms of quality. If you want cheap accommodation and dont mind dated facilities then its a good choice because of its great central location.

WEDGEWOOD HOTEL, Bayswater, London
 The Wedgewood Hotel is situated in Bayswater London and is a budget hotel offering basic accommodation. Clase by are the Heathrow Express terminal and Portobello Market. A short walk away is Hyde Park where you can stroll Kensington Gardens and Palace and explore the shops of Kensington High Street. A basic hotel offering minimum standards. The location is good but client satisfaction is hit and miss depending on which bedroom you are allocated. Dont expect much from this hotel and you will be OK. There are better hotels to be booked for a few pounds more i.e the Blakemore.

 Bordering London's famous Hyde Park and close to the West End, weekend breaks in the Bayswater area of the capital boast a sensible well priced location. Conveniently situated in the west of central London and within easy walking distance of major attractions Bayswater is a good location for a weekend break in London. Some areas tend to be a little run down but on the whole is an accepted and recommended area to stay if you can not get Kensington at your ideal budget
