Hotels near to Edgware Road underground station tend to be in the Paddington area, just a few short minutes walk to the south. The closest 4 star hotel is the Hilton London Metropole almost opposite the tube station. This is a huge modern hotel at the side of the Westway.

Edgware Road Tube station is located at the western end of the Marylebone Road just 460 metres from Marylebone Station and 900 metres north of Hyde Park. There are actually two underground stations located along Edgware Road which begins in the south-east at Marble Arch, right by the western end of Oxford Street and ends quite some way away in the London Borough of Barnet in the north-west. However, it is the southern section of the road, within the City of Westminster by the district of Marylebone, where the tube stations are located (on opposite sides of the Marylebone Road flyover). Both stations on the road share the same title of Edgware Road Underground Station with both located within Zone 1. The first is on the corner of Chapel and Cabbell Streets and is serviced by the District and Circle (green & yellow) lines before (or after) Paddington Station and the Hammersmith & City line between Paddington and Baker Street Stations. 150 metres up the road is the other station, located on the corner of Edgware Road and Bell Street, and it is serviced by the Bakerloo line (brown) between Paddington and Marylebone stations.

North, South, East and West of the stations, down Edgware Road and within the surrounding streets and squares, is where you will discover the Middle Eastern influence that the area is best known for with Lebanese restaurants, Shisha cafes, North African shops and supermarkets all waiting to be discovered. Patoghs on Crawford Street is a tasty, authentic and cheap eatery just south of the station as you head down Edgware Road, south-west of the stations is Paddington Station (mainline and tube) which is around a 10 to 15 minute walk down Praed Street and just off here on Sale Place is a great Malay restaurant called Satay House.

Just 900 metres to the north is the Lords Cricket Ground, scene of many a famous cricket match. A similar distance away is the central London Mosque bordering Regents Park.

Just on the north side of the Marylebone Road flyover up Edgware Road is Bell Street and the Bell Street Market which is a very small flea market open Saturdays from 8am-4pm. These days there aren't many stalls but there are some great finds for bargain hunters. Further up Edgware Road is Church Street which hosts a weekly market from Tuesday to Saturday, with Saturdays obviously being the busiest day. The market days are great for food as well with a delicious falafel stall and prawn stall that have to be tried - or you could also try the Market Grill. If you keep heading east along Church Street you'll find the famous Alfies Antiques Market (fabulous clothes, jewellery, books & furniture) and it also has a rooftop restaurant.

South-west of the stations, just off Praed Street again, is a great gastro-pub called the Monkey Puzzle which serves traditional food, Sunday roasts, has a fruit machine!, and the garden is great for relaxing in, sipping on a pint or glass of wine. And at the very southern end of Edgware Road is Marble Arch, Bayswater Road and the northern edge of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.

Hilton Metropole Hotel, London Located right across the road from the entrance to Edgware Road Tube station, the Hilton London Metropole provides excellent four star standard accommodations in the heart of Marylebone on the Edgware Road. Five minutes walk away from Paddington station (Heathrow Express) and St Mary's Hospital, with Baker Street only a short taxi ride along the Marylebone Road giving you access to Regent's Park, London Zoo and Madame Tussauds.

Edgware Road Tube Station is 400 metres to the west.
