Travelling into London

Trains (especially the Gatwick Express) are popular, fast and direct transport options. with up to 12 trains running per hour into central London. The rail station is linked to the South terminal and just a few minutes from the North terminal.

The Gatwick Express is the fastest link between the airport and central London. There are non-stop trains every 15 minutes to London Victoria with a journey time of 30 minutes (35 minutes on Sundays). It's £16.90 for a single ticket, £28.80 for a standard return and tickets can be bought on the train for no extra cost.

Other trains also run every 15 minutes. First Capital Connect trains go to East Croydon, London Bridge and St Pancras International with a journey time of between 30 and 45 minutes. Southern Trains run to London Victoria via East Croydon and Clapham Junction, and to London Bridge via East Croydon taking around 65 minutes.

EasyBus runs a low-cost airport transfer service to Fulham Broadway tube station. These buses run from 6am to 11pm seven days a week except Christmas. Departures are frequent - about 3 times an hour or every 15 minutes at peak times. The journey time is 65 minutes and costs as little as £2 for a one-way journey.

National Express (the UK's largest scheduled coach service operator) runs a direct coach service to London Victoria once an hour and takes about 85 minutes.

By car or taxi the journey times will vary greatly depending on your final destination and traffic conditions. But you can expect it to take around 65 minutes on average to central London.
