
The HSBC Tower is located on the Isle of Dogs at Canada Square, Canary Wharf in the East End of London. This building is one of 3 all of which are the tallest buildings in the UK. The other two being #1 Canada Square commonly known as Canary Wharf and the Citigroup Centre at #25. Designed by Sir Norman Foster, the 42 storey HSBC Tower was completed in 2002 as the international headquarters of the HSBC Bank. Getting to the HSBC Tower is simple. The Jubilee Line and Docklands Light Railway both run to Canary Wharf and are less than 300 metres from the HSBC. If you are arriving from the London City Airport, there is a bus service directly to the area.

Hotels near to the HSBC Tower tend to be modern and of recent construction, catering for the increased number of visitors to this area of Canary Wharf. These include the Sunborn Yacht Hotel, a converted cruise ship on the River Thames close to Canary Wharf and Excel. Very close to Canary Wharf is the Britannia International Hotel at Marsh Wall E14 and is less than 5 minutes walk from the HSBC Tower.
