Winter Wonderland 2009 is set to turn a corner of Hyde Park into the greatest London attraction of the year. With more than half a million people expected, visitors are already booking London hotels. Attractions include London's largest outdoor ice rink, special Christmas circus, German-style market and 60m (200 feet) observation wheel.

Building on last winters phenomenal success, Winter Wonderland 2009 will once again transform London's Hyde Park into a true wonderland guaranteed to spread festive joy and keep the whole family entertained. From 21st November until 3rd January this event brings an authentic German Christmas market to London, within easy reach of public transport and some of London's cheapest hotels.

There really is something for everyone. Take a spin on Londons largest outdoor ice rink, feast your eyes on amazing cityscape views from the 60m (200 feet) Ferris wheel or simply feast yourself on hearty Christmas fare at the German Christmas market. And, for the first time in 25 years, Zippos will be bringing their Christmas Circus to London in the comfort of a heated big top right in the heart of the Winter Wonderland.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. There's so much to do - from festive-themed rides for the young ones and thrilling snow slide a spot of Christmas shopping at the wide variety of arts and crafts stalls. And of course there is Santas Grotto right up to Christmas Eve for those who've been good this year!

Keeping warm won't be a problem with the huge variety of delicious hot food and drinks on offer (not to mention all the tempting traditional Christmas treats) . What can be more Christmassy than sipping hot chocolate or mulled wine as you watch folks skate by and listen to Christmas carols?

Winter Wonderland 2009 is open 21st November - 3rd January from 10am to 10pm every day except Christmas Day.

Entry is free with tokens for all rides and attractions available for purchase on the day. It's strongly recommended that you book tickets in advance for the ice rink (which sells-out weeks in advance), giant wheel and Zippo's Christmas Circus. You will save money if you buy a combination ticket for at least 2 of these attractions.

Winter Wonderland 2009 is in Hyde Park, just across the road from Hyde Park Corner tube station (Piccadilly Line) and only a short walk from High Street Kensington tube station (District/ Circle Lines) or Marble Arch tube station (Central Line).

There are also over 20 bus routes linking North, East, South and West London that stop within easy walking distance. And a quality selection of cheap London hotels can be found near by (ideal for nipping back to your room to warm up!).

We recommend that you avoid coming by car, however there is a large Westminster City Council run car park on Park Lane with entrances at Park Lane and Marble Arch. This car park is situated on the Park Lane / Edgware Road congestion zone free corridor and can be entered / exited without incurring the £8 congestion charge which operates Mon-Fri, alternatively Pay and Display parking is available on West Carriage Drive.
