There are a number of ways to travel into the EC3 area of the City of London from London Heathrow Airport. Types of transport available from here include buses, coaches, direct trains and London Underground services.

The Heathrow Express offers a quick and easy way of getting into Paddington Station, in central London. The Heathrow Express is a fast train service that leaves every 15 minutes from London Heathrow Airport. Journey times into London are 15 minutes from Terminals 1,2 and 3 and around 25 minutes from Terminal 4. Tickets for the Heathrow Express can be purchased in advance online, or from London Heathrow Airport on arrival. The Heathrow Connect service, which run every 30 minutes from Heathrow, follows the same route as the Heathrow Express and stops at a number of destinations, including Southall and Ealing Broadway. Paddington Underground Station is situated in west London and is served by the Bakerloo, Circle, District and Hammersmith & City lines. Passengers can get the Circle line (yellow) from Paddington to Bank and Monument, Tower Hill and Aldgate stations, all located in London EC3.

Heathrow Airport (all terminals) have stations on the Piccadilly (navy blue) line, in London Underground zone 6. Travellers can reach the EC3 area of the City of London by travelling to Holborn Underground Station on the Piccadilly line, then changing to the Central line, from where Bank Station is 3 stops away. This journey should take approximately 50 minutes in total.

The Feltham Railair service links London Heathrow Airport to Feltham Railway Station, via the number 285 bus service. Passengers can reach London Waterloo Station from here, which is home to the Eurostar terminal, national rail services and a London Underground Station, which is on the Bakerloo, Jubilee and Northern lines. Monument Station is 3 stops from Waterloo, via the Jubilee (grey) and Northern (black) lines.

Coach services provide another method of travelling to London EC3 from Heathrow Airport. Various companies provide coach services to a number of destinations across London, including National Express, which stops at Marble Arch in the West End and at Victoria Coach Station. Victoria mainline and London Underground Station is 150m from the coach station. Victoria Underground Station, on the Circle, District and Victoria lines, is 8 stops from Monument Station (Circle line), which stands in the heart of EC3 on Gracechurch Street EC3 and King William Street EC3, close to London Bridge. Coach services between Stansted, Gatwick and London Heathrow airports also run daily.

Licensed taxis can be hailed from all the terminals at London Heathrow Airport. The Journey time into London EC3 via taxi is approximately 1 hour and will cost around 50 pounds, depending on traffic. Illegal taxi drivers do operate from Heathrow, so if in doubt always check with airport staff. London Heathrow Airport is close to the M4 and M25, for those travelling into London EC3 via car. Public car parking is available between Lower Thames Street EC3 and Gloucester Street EC3, for a charge. Travellers should be aware that London EC3 is in the Congestion Charge zone.
