London Eye location map

The London Eye is five minutes walk from Waterloo underground (follow signs for the South Bank) and Westminster tube station (exit one, follow signs for Westminster pier). A better alternative for the sightseer is to go to Westminster Underground Station, take in Parliament Square with the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey and then take the 5 minute walk across Westminster Bridge to the London Eye.

If you are on a full day exploration of London and are alright to walk 4 or 5 miles then start at the Tower of London ( allow 3 hours here ), walk across Tower Bridge and walk down the Southbank passing such sights as the Golden Hinde, City Hall, Vinopolis, the Globe Theatre, Gabrieles Wharf, Hays Galleria and the Tate arriving at the London Eye for a sunset trip on the wheel. If you are very energetic then it can be extended even more if time allows by reversing the trip and starting at the London Eye, walking along the same route to the Tower of London and then taking the 20 minute river taxi trip back from Tower Millennium Pier down to Westminster Pier opposite the London Eye.

Go here to see route map of the walk from the Tower of London to the London Eye.
