Millennium Mayfair
44 Grosvenor Square, Mayfair, London W1K 2HP
Bond Street 310m
A stately Georgian townhouse that was once the home of the Duchess of Kendal now offers classic comfort at one of Mayfairs most famous squares. The stately and reserved Millennium Mayfair brings the atmosphere of the 18th century private club to life. Overlooking Grosvenor square, the hotel is in the neighbourhood of Oxford Street shopping, the exclusive boutiques of Bond Street, Hyde Park, and the Royal Academy of Arts, though sheltered enough to be a quiet retreat. The nearest Tube Stations at Bond Street and Green Park are a short walk to the north and south, sharing between them four major Tube lines: the Piccadilly, Jubilee, Central and Victoria lines, reaching directly to all corners of the city including Heathrow Airport. The Gatwick Express train service is only one stop away at Victoria. For those arriving by car, parking is provided in an underground garage beneath the hotel.
The rooms are decorated around the most traditional and sophisticated of English styles, displaying subdued class to suit the neighbourhood. Technology is not neglected, however, with WiFi and air conditioning available everywhere. Pets are unfortunately not allowed. Most rooms look out over the impressive Grosvenor Square Gardens or Grosvenor Mews. For events, the hotel has ten dedicated function rooms catering for up to 700 guests. The Meetings & Events team offer the expertise behind some of London's most prestigious events. The hotels venues range from the chandeliered Grand Ballroom to the oak panelled Grosvenor Suite.
Fine Mayfair dining is not difficult to find in the area, or indeed within the hotel. Avista, located adjacent to the hotel, serves rustic and refined regional Italian cuisine prepared to a standard befitting the Square. Shogun is an acclaimed traditional Japanese restaurant bringing an exotic touch to the hotel. The Mayfair Suite, a dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows, sits adjacent as a bright and stylish space for private functions. The elegant Pine Bar, meanwhile, is a classic London lounge complete with leather banquettes, bold decor, and a resident pianist in the evenings. During the day, it serves as a wonderfully refined setting for afternoon tea and other light food.
At home in Londons most sought after neighbourhood, the Millennium Hotel London Mayfair is an ideal setting for travellers with business in the area, those looking to hold exceptional events, or visitors who just want a taste of life in the midst of luxurious Mayfair.
