The Montana Hotel is located in the heart of South Kensington, 2 miles west of the West End at the junction of Cromwell Road and Gloucester Road. From the M25 motorway it is a simple straight drive along the M4 / A4 to the junction of these 2 roads.
To the east of the Montana Hotel is Knightsbridge and to the west is Hammersmith and Earls Court. High Street Kensington and the Royal Albert Hall are a 10 minute walk to the north whilst Fulham Road is a 10 minute walk to the south.
The Hotel is within 3 minutes walk of Gloucester Road Underground Station with a direct connection to all four London Heathrow Airport Terminals. From this station, there is also a direct link to the West End of London and Theatreland with a journey time of less than 10 minutes to Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Covent Garden. From the same station, it is also possible to directly access High Street Kensington, Knightsbridge (Harrod's), Victoria Station, Earl's Court and Tower Hill. In the immediate vicinity are some world famous London museums - the Victoria & Albert, the Natural History, the Geological and the Science are all less than 5 minutes walk. The Royal Albert Hall in less than 10 minutes away by foot and the nearby Kensington High Street. Harrods can be walked to in 20 minutes.

For the budget minded single traveller, there are a limited number of economy single rooms with shared bathroom ( 2 bedrooms to each well fitted out bathroom ). The air conditioned public areas are of a high standard and comprise of a Lounge Bar with satellite television and an adjacent sitting area with comfortable couches. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and is continental comprising of orange juice, tea, coffee, jams and toasts.
A full English Cooked breakfast is available at a small supplement. In the evenings, we recommend that you sample what is acknowledged to be the best Indian Cuisine in Kensington in the Montana's very own air conditioned restaurant "The Light of India".
Gloucester Road London is one of the most popular accommodation areas in central London. It offers many hotels ranging from atrocious to excellent. In general terms, the area around Gloucester Road is the "better" area. Heading west towards Earls Court the hotels, with a few genuine exceptions, become more budget and "run down". A good indicator is to ask when the hotel was last renovated.
At the superior and deluxe end of the hotel market, notable hotels near to Gloucester Road would include the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum and its smaller sister hotel the Holiday Inn Kensington (beds are a little soft) and both are within 200 metres of Gloucester Road Tube. Just around the corner is Harrington Hall which is well worthy of consideration, as are the Millennium Gloucester and the Millennium Baileys.

Opened in late 2008, the 4 star, Executive Rooms by Shaftesbury is worth a look. Located on the boundary of Earls Court and South Kensington this 21 bedroom hotel quite often offers cheap prices.
