If you are wanting to stay in the West End of London then its very easy to recommend the St Giles Hotel which is one of London’s largest hotels having 700 bedrooms and an indoor swimming pool.

So you want to visit the usual attractions like Oxford street for your shopping, Trafalgar Square to feed the pidgeons and the London Eye to see the London panorama. You probably also want to pay a visit to Soho for the seedy touristy thing and also Piccadilly Circus to have your photo taken next to Eros. Ok…. all of these are walkable from the St Giles Hotel. The St Giles is a rare find in the West End as its one of the few centrally located 3 star hotels (most hotels are claiming 4 star status). Just a two minute walk from Oxford Street on Tottenham Court Rd which also means you are two minutes from the Dominion Theatre where you can see the amazing Queen show “We Will Rock You”.

As a 3 star tourist class hotel its not by any means memorable its just plain good value for money and unlike many cheap London hotels it has a good reputation for service and cleanliness. The other alternative in this area is the Royal National with over one thousand bedrooms and usually as many students and tour group people on the premises and the unrenovated bedrooms reflect this.

The St Giles is also very handy for Theatreland and Covent Garden and again its walkable.
