Pudding Lane EC3 is an area of great historical interest situated within the Square Mile of the City of London. Pudding Lane is connects Lower Thames Street with Eastcheap EC3 at its northern point. Pudding Lane is named after the 'puddings', which was a slang name for the animal organs that would fall from butchers carts travelling to the Thames from Eastcheap, formerly a medieval market. The original site of Farryner's bakery, where the Great Fire of London started in 1666, is located in Pudding Lane.

The Monument, which stands at the junction of Fish Street Hill EC3 and Monument Street EC3, is 62 metres high, which is the distance this commemorative column is from Pudding Lane. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and completed in 1677, the Monument was built to mark the Great Fire of London. The viewing platform here, which visitors can reach by climbing 311 stairs, provides amazing views of the City of London and its landmarks including the Lloyds of London Building, Swiss Re building, which is often referred to as the Gherkin. The BT Tower can also be seen from this high point.

Pudding Lane is close to a number of places of interest along the River Thames, including London Bridge, which is 150m away along King William Street EC3. Others interesting sights near Pudding Lane include Old Billingsgate Market, a former fish market which is now a studio and events venue located at 1 Old Billingsgate Market EC3 (150m) and Custom House (200m). St Magnus the Martyr church, part of the original entrance to London Bridge, is just 50m from Pudding Lane on Lower Thames Street EC3.

Pudding Lane is now home to a number of offices as well as retail outlets and restaurants, including Fuego. Located at 1a Pudding Lane, Fuego is a popular Spanish restaurant, which also has a bar and provides nightly entertainment from Monday to Friday. Opened in 1993, Fuego has a striking gold and red interior. The restaurant here provides quality tapas and various Mediterranean dishes in a fun and lively environment. Food is available till closing time, 2am Monday-Wednesday and 3am Thursday-Friday at Fuego, which provides live entertainment, salsa dancing lessons and a resident DJ.

Pudding Lane is close to Gracechurch Street, which can be reached by heading east along Eastcheap. Gracechurch Street, which houses one of the entrances to Monument Underground Station, leads to Bishopsgate. Visitors to Bishopsgate will be able to reach the huge Tower 42 structure, located on Old Broad Street and the famous Leadenhall meat and fish market, situated on Lime Street EC3, close to the Lloyds Tower.

Pudding Lane is 150m from Monument Station, which is linked to Bank Underground and is served by the Central, Circle, District, Northern and Waterloo & City lines, as well as Docklands Light Railway Services (DLR). Cannon Street underground and mainline station can be reached via Upper Thames Street EC3 from the southern end of Pudding Lane. Alternatively, visitors can walk 300m to the station along Cannon Street from the top of Pudding Lane.
