Throgmorton Avenue is home to the impressive Drapers Hall building, headquarters of the Worshipful Company of Drapers, one of the livery companies, or trade associations, located within the City of London. This grand structure, which is often used as an awards or events venue, looks out on to the peaceful Drapers Gardens. Another interesting structure close to Throgmorton Avenue is Tower 42, formerly the NatWest Tower, located 300m east at 25 Old Broad Street. Tower 42 is home to the renowned Rhodes 24 restaurant, which provides contemporary British cuisine under the guidance of popular chef Gary Rhodes. The Vertigo 42 bar and restaurant is also located in Tower 42, on the top floor of this 183m structure. Vertigo 42 provides unrivaled views of London landmarks such as St Paul's Cathedral, Swiss Re tower and the Lloyd's Building. |
